Long-Term Haemodialysis Care.
Managing kidney failure requires more than a machine. It requires a dedicated clinical team, a reliable schedule, and a centre you can trust — session after session, week after week.

Understanding Your Treatment
What Is Chronic Haemodialysis?
When your kidneys can no longer filter waste and excess fluid from your blood, dialysis takes over that function. Chronic haemodialysis is a long-term treatment for patients whose kidneys have failed permanently or are failing progressively over time.
During a haemodialysis session, your blood is passed through a dialysis machine that filters out waste products and excess fluid before returning the cleaned blood to your body. Sessions typically last between three and five hours and are required three times per week — usually on alternating days to allow your body time to recover between treatments.
For most patients with end-stage kidney failure, chronic haemodialysis is a life-sustaining treatment. It is not a cure for kidney failure, but it is what allows patients to live full, active lives despite their condition.

What to Expect
Your Treatment Day at Leru Renal Services.
Every session follows a consistent, clinical routine. Here is what a typical treatment day looks like.
- 01
Arrival & Preparation
You arrive at the centre and check in at reception. Your nurse records your weight, checks your baseline vital signs, and prepares your vascular access site under sterile conditions. This preparation is done carefully and thoroughly — every time.
- 02
Your Treatment Session
You settle into your treatment chair. The dialysis machine is connected and your session begins according to your prescribed treatment plan. Our clinical team monitors your blood pressure, fluid removal, and treatment response continuously throughout the session. Personal TVs and Wi-Fi are available to help pass the time comfortably.
- 03
Post-Treatment
Once your session is complete, our nurses disconnect the lines carefully, apply pressure to your access site, check your post-dialysis weight, and verify your blood pressure before you leave. You are not discharged until our team is satisfied that your post-treatment readings are stable.
